Semester 2 Registration Open

January 10, 2013
Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate has opened registration for Semster 2 courses. These courses are instructed daily for 20 weeks from February to June, 2013. Students from your school can opt to take their high school credits entirely over the Internet in a fully-interactive virtual classroom, instructed and supported by a WVC certified Manitoba teacher. Courses are designed for approximately 70 minutes of instruction per day (Monday-Friday), following a traditional semester system. Students will learn a lot of new technological skills as well as academic skills by taking an online class at the Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate. They will become skilled at how to utilize the computer as a tool to enhance their learning. They will learn how to find information, blog, screen capture, communicate learning and visit websites to learn course content and much more! Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate gives students from your community a wider range of academic options for courses that may not be available at your First Nation high school or do not fit within their current class schedule. No prior online course experience to participate. Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate was created to help First Nation students in Manitoba access new sources of education and find new learning opportunities for students. Registration in the Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate classes is free! Your school must appoint a school facilitator that will be WVC’s contact person throughout the semester.
