Registration Process

  • If you are under 18, check with your Parents for approval to take classes with WVC.
  • View WVC’s course offerings on the Master Timetable to determine the courses you wish to complete.
  • Check with your Principal for approval to take classes with WVC.
  • Complete the Student Enrolment Permission Form and have it ready for registration.
  • If you wish to take a Grade 10 course or above, you must attain your student transcript(s) or report cards and have them ready for verification.
    • These can be uploaded at the time of registration, or faxed to our office afterwards
  • Students must have supported documentation that outlines any student-specific accommodations; these accommodations must already be in place or can be seamlessly implemented within the existing WVC instructional model with our available staff. If you possess a Student-Specific Plan (SSP), including a Health Care Plan or Adapted Education Plan, it is essential to provide documentation detailing any specific accommodations related to your needs.
  • To finish your registration for WVC courses, we need to ensure that the necessary accommodations can be provided within the current WVC learning platforms using the available staff.
  • Applicants are encouraged to upload their Student Transcripts at the end of the registration form. If it is not yet available, they may fax it to (204-477-4314) as soon as possible. The application review process can only begin once WVC receives it.
  • Students need daily access to a device with reliable internet, such as a computer, tablet, or cellphone. Students must confirm that they have access to technology and that they agree to progress through the courses in the online environment.
  • Each student is allowed up to four courses per semester and one course per period for live instruction.
  • To enroll in the Credit Recovery Program, you must provide supporting documentation, such as student transcripts confirming the previous attempt and any completion of the prerequisite for the desired courses.
  • Students must verify if they are eligible to enroll in the credit recovery program by viewing their previous course Grades; a minimum of 35% must be present on their transcript.
