Red Dress Day 2024
May 5, 2024
Today, we observe the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). On this solemn day, we come together to honour and remember our stolen mothers, sisters, and cousins. It is a distressing reality that Indigenous women and girls in Canada are five times more likely to be victims of violence than any other demographic.
We encourage our students and communities to wear red as a unified gesture of solidarity and commitment to raising awareness. No More Stolen Sisters. đĒļ âđŊ đâī¸
