Credit Recovery
Please note: WVC’s Credit Recovery Options are currently on hold for the 2025-2026 school year due to limited staffing.
In previous years, students who previously attempted a course but did not earn credit (with a minimum mark of 35%) could access flexible, self-paced recovery options.
Key features of the program included:
- A WVC teacher assigned to each student to monitor progress and offer support through scheduled appointments (as requested).
- No live classes; coursework was project-based and self-paced.
- A minimum average of 65% on required projects was needed to earn credit.
- The number of project levels assigned was based on the student’s previous course grade:
- 45%–49%: 1 level
- 40%–44%: 2 levels
- 35%–39%: 3 levels
Teachers reviewed and applied exemptions when appropriate; however, students whose incoming mark was below 40% were required to complete all three levels.
