Notice: New Course-based Fees at Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate – UNDER REVIEW for Feb 2026

Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate (WVC) will implement a new course-based fee structure beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. This change is necessary due to recent funding reductions and is intended to support the continued delivery of high-quality virtual education for First Nations students.

Fee Summary – Effective September 2025:

• $750 per full-credit course, per student, per semester
  Applicable to:
  – MFNERC member schools
  – MFNSS schools
  – Mature High School (Adult Learner) students
• $1,500 per full-credit course, per student, per semester
  Applicable to:
  – Independent First Nations schools not affiliated with MFNERC or MFNSS
  – Provincial schools and school divisions

Important Update to the Registration Process

As part of this change, all schools and institutions will be required to formally authorize tuition charges during the student registration process. School principals or authorized representatives will be asked to confirm and agree to the applicable fees for each course registration. A tuition agreement form or memorandum of understanding will be issued by MFNERC Finance for this purpose and must be signed before invoicing can proceed.

WVC continues to welcome new and returning students and looks forward to working collaboratively with schools to ensure a smooth registration and billing process.
